Introduction to Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 exam

What is G. A. T. E ?

I think this is a most important question asked by every engineer and science people during graduation or after graduation.
  • GATE. is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.  
  • GATE is one type of India levels competitive exam for admission to the degree to master degree. 
  • GATE exam is conducted by IITs and IISc.
  • Normally GATE exam is taken on second Sunday of every year.
  • GATE exam has its own examination pattern which is of objective type exam.
  • GATE exam is generally taken in following the main discipline of engineering and science.
  • Result GATE exam is declared normally on 15th March every year.

Eligibility criteria for GATE 2014 exam

  • Minimum Bachelor or Graduation in any of Engineering/Science discipline. 
  • Minimum Master or Post graduation in a branch of Science/Mathematics/Computer Applications/Statistics/ or equivalent.
  • Candidate with second or higher year of Four-year Integrated Post-graduation programme in engineering/technology can also apply.
  • Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five-year Integrated Post-graduation programme or Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.
  • Candidates with qualifications of B.E./B.Tech from AMIE or equivalent which is approved by AICTE of India.
Note: Final year student can also apply.
